The event is the result of the heritage of BIMEC and BIAS, two events that, following the development of the manufacturing sector and the production needs of the enterprises, have now been joined in one single exhibition, capable of presenting a much wider range of offers than the two individual solutions ever could. MECHA-TRONIKA is the fair of systems and technologies capable of optimising the management of machines, processes, and equipment.
And the combination of different types of knowledge and disciplines is a challenge that MECHA-TRONIKA takes on by becoming the showcase for the solutions that ensure the efficiency and flexibility to the company. Bringing together electronic and information technologies applied to mechanics, mechatronic gives the possibility of optimising the management component of automated and logistic cycles, simulating the procedures and the results of a process, monitoring the production chain and its quality, improving environmental sustainability and working standards: all factors that determine the performance of the company, and therefore its competitiveness.
The event, organised by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE and FIERA MILANO, is promoted and sponsored by the official representatives of the sectors on exhibition: AIDAM, Italian association of automation and mechatronic; ASSODEL, national association of electronic system suppliers, GISI, association of Italian instrumentation companies, IMVG, Italian Machine Vision Group; SIRI, Italian association of robotics and automation, and UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, association of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots, automation systems, and auxiliary products.
From design to construction, from purchasing to assembly, from installation to control, from energy savings to environmental sustainability, from support to disposal, the competitiveness of the manufacturing product depends on the various competencies that make it possible to manage the process chain in mechatronic terms. MECHA-TRONIKA is the depiction of these competencies, with the objective of guaranteeing the most appropriate ground for comparison between offer and demand.
The index of products of the event, which takes place every two years, includes: industrial robots, assembly, movement, handling, vision systems, measurement and control, logistics and transport, process and manufacturing control, software and hardware for system and product development (PLM), component and accessory engineering, safety and environment, sfortec-technical sub-contracting, sensors, detectors, transducers, testing and measurement instrumentation, fieldbus and communication systems, IT for industry, automation and production software systems, electronic production automation, services, maintenance.
In this sense, MECHA-TRONIKA becomes the exhibition of intelligence, offering innovative solutions that can be applied to almost all the industrial sectors: from automotive to metal processing machines and equipment, from the electro-technic and electronics to the pharmaceutical sectors, from cosmetics to medical, from the food sector to packaging, from chemistry to plastic materials, from optics to furniture components, from transport to telecommunications.
Many companies have today already confirmed their participation to MECHA-TRONIKA 2013: ABL AUTOMAZIONE; ADAT; ALLIE DIVISION TECHNOLOGIES; AUTOMATOR INTERNATIONAL; BALLUFF; BALLUFF AUTOMATION; COSBERG; DELTA VISION; DENSO WAVE; DOSS VISUAL SOLUTION; GIMATIC; HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES; IAI; IDS; IMAGE S; ISTITUTO ITALIANO DELLA SALDATURA; JAI; K.L.A.IN.robotics; KISTLER INSTRUMENTE; KISTLER ITALIA; MOXMEC; MVTEC; NET; ROBOTUNITS AUSTRIA; ROBOTUNITS ITALIA; SEIKO EPSON; SINTA; SMART VISION; TELEDYNE DALSA; VEA.
As pointed out by Luigi Galdabini, president of EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE, “mechatronic is the meeting point of the future of the whole mechanical sector, which as a whole accounts for 36% of the GDP of the country, employing over two million people”. “The event is destined to immediately take on an international connotation, due both to the prestige of fieramilano, and of the competence of EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE, the organiser of events like EMO MILANO and BI-MU.”
Alfredo Mariotti, the director of the event, stated the following: “Synthesis of mechanics, electronics and informatics, MECHA-TRONIKA is an event conceived with the objective of meeting the current needs for operating dynamism and flexibility of the companies of the manufacturing sector. Centred on approach, rather than on product as such, MECHA-TRONIKA is unique of a kind”.
“MECHA-TRONIKA,” added Enrico Pazzali, CEO of Fiera Milano, “is the answer that was missing in the exhibition world to the needs of the specialists of automation and process control. We have worked with enthusiasm towards the completion of this project. We will contribute to the success of the exhibition, which will enjoy the attractive advantages of the exhibition centre itself, together with our direct presence on the new large extra-European markets, exploiting all the promotion and communication potential of Fiera Milano”.
The commitment of the organisers to the promotion of MECHA-TRONIKA will result in a range of synergic initiatives with ample access to new media, which will bring the event under the attention of the whole universe of potentially interested operators. The program includes the creation of ad-hoc advertising material, with promotional material being sent to over one hundred thousand potential visitors. The exhibiting companies will be provided with communication tools and services, useful for developing a customised campaign for their companies. The site of the event will ensure constantly updated information, both on the event itself, and the collateral initiatives aimed at concentrating the attention of operators and media on MECHA-TRONIKA.
