Exhibition’s leading position confirmed once again

With a record number of 1,461 exhibitors this year’s SPS IPC Drives has got underway, and is larger and more comprehensive than ever. In 12 exhibition halls and over a total of 106,100 sqm of exhibition space the exhibitors are showcasing the innovations, solutions and trends the electric automation sector currently has to offer.

Increase in international exhibitors

The level of international interest in the event has grown again. With 430 companies from outside Germany participating at the event, the percentage of international companies has risen to 29 %. The exhibitors originate from 41 countries. After Germany, the top 5 countries with the largest representation by companies are once again Italy, China, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands.

Comprehensive information on offer

The VDMA and ZVEI exhibition forums are once again offering a first class program of presentations. Led by trade associations and publishing houses, 20 panel discussions, and 70 product presentations and round tables addressing current topics in the sector will take place over the three days of the event.

The joint stands “AMA Centre for Sensorics, Measuring and Testing Technologies” and “wireless in automation” offer visitors the chance to find out more about the particular topics and to identify targeted solutions.

The conference which runs alongside the exhibition offers as usual a comprehensive program. The keynote speeches on: “Technologiewandel intelligent gestalten” and “Vom Internet der Dinge zur Smart Factory – auf dem Weg zur 4. industriellen Revolution” are just two of this year’s conference highlights. The program of a total of 48 presentations, two keynote speeches and a tutorial have at their heart a practice oriented and unbiased exchange of information and ideas between developers and users.
