Beijer Electronics launches new Nexto Xpress BCS-XP340 compact controller

Beijer Electronics now presents the new Nexto Xpress BCS-XP340 compact controller enabling Industry 4.0 applications via built-in OPC UA interface and embedded web server.

The new Nexto Xpress BCS-XP340 has great communications skills offering Ethernet port for programming and MODBUS TCP Client/Server and OPC DA/OPC UA communication, serial port for RS-485 with MODBUS RTU Master/Slave communication, CANopen communication port. In addition the BCS-XP340 enables HTML5 visualization on external devices via the embedded WebVisualization server.
In addition all Nexto Xpress models, BCS-XP300/315/325/340 can be set to remote I/O mode on CANopen to offer a flexible and cost efficient solution when additional IOs with no local logic is needed. To obtain maximum flexibility in terms of I/O expansion Nexto Xpress can be complemented by the full range of Beijer Electronics G-series remote I/O.

Nexto Xpress applications are created using the CODESYS based BCS Tools. CODESYS is the leading hardware-independent IEC 61131-3 development tool on the market supporting all IEC 61131-3 programming languages, complete with online debugging and monitoring, online changes, offline simulation, symbolic variables, system diagnostics and global variable lists.

The new Nexto Xpress BCS-XP340 compact controller offers:

  • 16 DI (4 fast), 16 DO (4 fast), 5 AI, 2 RTD, 4 AO High speed counter input/PTO and PWM outputs
  • Ethernet TCP/IP, Serial, USB and CAN interface
  • CANopen Master interface
  • 3G/4G/WiFi (external accessory via USB port – available by Q1 2020)
  • SQL integration
  • WebVisualization, IEC 60870-5-104 server
