COSEL introduces three new DIN rail power supplies for industrial applications

COSEL today announced the launch of three new DIN rail AC/DC power supplies for industrial applications. Based on its many years of experience and expertise in the development of highly efficient power supply solutions for demanding industrial applications that are optimized for highly automated production, the design team at COSEL has uncompromisingly developed the new WDA family, which shortens the time-to-market for users. In addition to its electrical performance, the WDA series offers one of the best value/performance ratios on the market due to the use of standard components and a high degree of automation in manufacturing.

The WDA series is available in the three power levels 30W, 60W and 90W and is suitable due to the combination of a narrow design, a wide input voltage range of 85V – 264V and a high performance level for a wide range of applications. The WDA devices come with a 5-year warranty and conform to industry standards.

Thanks to years of experience in the development of DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies based on the flyback topology and highly automated manufacturing processes, the WDA series delivers up to 90 W with an efficiency of up to 90%, which reduces energy consumption and power dissipation will.

The three models WDA30F, WDA60F and WDA90F are designed for mounting on DIN rails and are compatible with the standard DIN EN60715TH 35 (35×7.5mm or 35×15mm), the hat-shaped DIN rail.

Designed for international applications, the versatile WDA series offers a wide input voltage range of 85 to 264VAC and features self-latching output over-voltage protection and self-restart over-current protection.

The WDA30F is available in four different output voltages: 5V, 12V, 24V and 48V with a power output of 30W and a typical efficiency of 88%. Three output voltages of 12V, 24V and 48V with an output power of 60W or 90W and a typical efficiency of up to 90% are offered for the WDA60F and the WDA90F. All models are equipped with a potentiometer with which the output voltage can be finely adjusted when installed. A DC OK LED visually confirms the output status.

Optimized for convection cooling, the WDA series can be operated in an ambient temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees Celsius. Depending on the type of installation and ventilation of the end device, derating may be necessary in accordance with the information in the technical documentation.

WDA30F and WDA60F are designed for use in rack applications where space is often limited. They measure just 32 x 90 x 90 mm (1.26 x 3.54 x 3.54 inches) and weigh a maximum of 200 g (WDA30F) and 250 g (WDA60F). The WDA90F measures 50 x 90 x 90 mm (1.97 x 3.54 x 3.54 inches) and weighs a maximum of 350 g.

All three series have an isolation voltage of 3,000 VAC between input and output, 2,000 VAC between input and ground, 500 VAC between output and ground, and a leakage current of less than 0.75 mA (at 240VAC).

The WDA series meets the safety requirements of UL62368-1, EN62368-1, C-UL (corresponds to CAN/CSA-C22.2 No.62368-1), RoHS and Low Voltage Directives and is CE and UKCA marked.

WDA30F, WDA60F and WDA90F are suitable for a variety of applications such as measurement and analysis devices, machine tools and industrial robots, display devices, process control and many more.
