At this year’s Automatica trade fair, Denso is presenting groundbreaking innovations, which can be seen live from June 24 to 27 in Hall B5, Stand 327.

For the first time, the Healthcare Autonomous Mobile Robot (HAMR), an autonomous service robot developed for hospitals and laboratories, will be presented. Other highlights include various applications with COBOTTA PRO. Various software solutions such as Unity, Virtual Components, and Home Assist will also be on display.

HAMR Service Robot in the Healthcare Sector
The healthcare AMR handles the transport of goods, such as samples or medications, in hospitals and laboratories. Equipped with lockable, individually chargeable drawers, it can reliably move to multiple service points in a single round. After completing its round, the HAMR automatically returns to the charging station and awaits its next task.

Its unique features include an optional integrated refrigeration unit and a digital payment solution that enables automated catering distribution (snacks and drinks). It also interacts seamlessly with automated doors, gates, and elevators, without human intervention. The HAMR complies with all relevant EU safety regulations and standards and is already being used in several pilot projects.

COBOTTA PRO with Touch Sensor Soft Cover + AMR
An optional touch sensor soft cover allows for even greater speed, acceleration, and force in human-robot collaboration thanks to its integrated, highly sensitive sensor technology. This enables significantly greater performance and efficiency in automated workflows. If a person touches the soft cover, the integrated sensor system reacts immediately and stops both the robot and the AMR.

COBOTTA PRO Human-Robot Collaboration Application
Experience precise ESD component placement and the assembly of a SCARA upper arm gearbox in real-life human-robot collaboration. Safety is ensured through intelligent scene switching, which adapts speed and force to each process step.

COBOTTA PRO and a Cambrian 3D image recognition system
This application demonstrates the removal of small, transparent, and shiny parts. This is a task where conventional 3D image recognition systems reach their limits, as they fail to recognize components with different shapes, and force-monitored connector assembly is complex.

COBOTTA PRO in combination with Branscheid’s BIA.SmartStacker
The BIA.SmartStacker ensures a continuous supply of components in both manual and automated production processes and offers the option of collecting finished components. This is demonstrated by a demonstration of a fully automated loading and unloading process for KLT crates using a COBOTTA PRO in combination with the BIA.SmartStacker system: simultaneous loading and unloading of components is fully supported, enabling flexible operation with high autonomy.

COBOTTA as a Laboratory Assistant
COBOTTA as a flexible laboratory assistant that takes care of tedious routine tasks in laboratories. The COBOTTA is controlled by AI and a camera, and recognizes and sorts various laboratory samples.

Real-Time Synchronization Control with the RC9 Controller
A VMB robot and the RC9 controller will be presented with a Beckhoff XTS eXtended transport system. The task involves sorting and unloading containers, as well as dynamic and rapid synchronization of the moving element using the Beckhoff XTS eXtended transport system, with the interval between the two, all without slowing down or stopping the robot.

High-Speed ​​Cam Application
AI-based control of three SCARA robots with automatic trajectory generation. Several robots and peripheral devices are used in the process. Control is achieved through electronic synchronization with a virtual cam disk.

VS Robot and the New EYEFEEDER® 1400
Combination of the 6-axis VS-060 robot and the new flexible bulk material feeding system EYEFEEDER® 1400 from ROBA Engineering. The software and hardware of the EYEFEEDER® 1400 are fully integrated into the DENSO robot controller. In the pick-and-place application, the robot retrieves parts from a small bin, places them in the EYEFEEDER®, and from there returns them to the container. The process takes only 30 seconds.
