Chinese cobot specialist Elite Robots announce will supply 3,000 cobots to one of China’s largest electric vehicle manufacturers, as well as suppliers of mobile phone components, batteries, and photovoltaic cells. Elite Robots therefore calls this a “historic milestone” and the “largest single order in the history of collaborative robotics.”
“This order represents a turning point for the industry. It demonstrates that our cobots can transform production lines on a large scale,” said Dr. Yunan Cao, CEO of Elite Robots. “Our success in Asia is also driving our expansion in Europe.” Elite Robots’ headquarters near Shanghai was founded in 2016 and has since established offices in Germany, Europe, Japan, and North America.
The cobots for the e-mobility manufacturer will be delivered in several phases and will perform tasks such as assembly, quality control, palletizing, and repetitive tasks.
This ensures higher productivity, improved precision, and increased work safety, and relieves employees of monotonous tasks, emphasizes Jürgen Ostermeier, Managing Director of Elite Robots GmbH in Germany: “We are seeing a steadily growing demand for our solutions. Increasing cost pressure requires automation, and our complete palletizing solution meets precisely this growing demand.”
