Darveen has launched the DPC-1210, a fanless 21.5-inch industrial panel PC built on Intel Core Ultra 5 125H/U processors (Meteor Lake). The unit combines a Full HD touchscreen with up to 34 TOPS of platform AI performance and an M.2 slot for an AI accelerator, aiming at operator stations that also have to run inference at the machine.
Edge AI on an Intel Core Ultra platform
The Meteor Lake processors integrate CPU, GPU and NPU on a single platform. According to Darveen, the combination delivers up to 34 TOPS of total platform AI performance while keeping power consumption under control, enough for responsive HMIs, real-time data processing and AI-assisted applications on the same device.
When a project needs more inference capacity, the DPC-1210 accepts an M.2 AI acceleration module such as the DEEPX DX-M1M. Running models locally shortens response times and reduces the dependency on a cloud connection, which matters for quality inspection, anomaly detection or any task where latency and data sovereignty are a concern.
Display and mechanical design
The front is a 21.5-inch projected capacitive touchscreen with 1920 × 1080 resolution and 450 nits of brightness. An anti-glare surface keeps the screen readable under strong ambient lighting, a common problem with operator panels near windows or bright production lighting.
Cooling is handled without fans by a newly designed copper heat pipe system that draws heat away from the processor. Darveen states that the design keeps operation stable over long periods, even under sustained workloads, and a fanless enclosure also avoids drawing dust and contaminants into the unit.
Technical specifications
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 125H/U series (Meteor Lake)
- AI performance: up to 34 TOPS total platform (CPU + GPU + NPU)
- AI expansion: M.2 AI acceleration module (e.g. DEEPX DX-M1M)
- Display: 21.5-inch, 1920 × 1080 Full HD, 450 nits, anti-glare
- Touch: projected capacitive
- Cooling: fanless, copper heat pipe system
- I/O: 2× COM, 4× USB 3.0, 2× LAN, 1× HDMI, 1× DisplayPort
- Storage: 2× 2.5-inch SATA 3.0 HDD/SSD bays with RAID 1 support
Connectivity and storage
The I/O set covers the usual needs of a machine-side PC: serial ports for legacy devices, USB 3.0 for cameras and peripherals, two LAN ports to separate machine and plant networks, and HDMI plus DisplayPort to drive additional monitors. The two 2.5-inch drive bays can be configured with RAID 1 mirroring, so a disk failure does not take down the data logging or the AI application.
Why it matters for engineers
Many lines still split the HMI on a panel PC and the vision or AI workload on a separate box PC. A platform with an integrated NPU and an optional accelerator slot lets integrators consolidate both on one fanless unit, with less wiring and fewer devices to maintain. Full specifications are on the Darveen DPC-1210 product page, and processor details are in the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H specifications.
Darveen already offers stainless steel panel PCs and monitors for hygienic environments. More news from the manufacturer is in our Darveen section.
