Since April 2025, Gerald Müller has served as the new Chief Operating Officer at KEB Automation, a provider of automation and drive solutions. The 44-year-old will oversee management, especially in production and procurement. He takes over from Ralf Lutter, who is transitioning to an advisory position after 37 years with the firm, which includes over 25 years in leadership. In his new position, Müller will enhance the current management board that includes Thomas Brinkmann (CEO and shareholder), Vittorio Tavella (CFO), and Wolfgang Wiele (CTO).
“I am eager for the new challenge and want to thank you for the confidence you have in me.” My objective is to collaborate with the experts and managers to enhance the value chain of the organization. “According to Müller, we are adjusting to evolving market demands by enhancing the digitalisation and automation of essential processes.”
Gerald Müller joined KEB in 2005, beginning in industrial engineering, where he later became the head of the department. In 2012, the electrical engineering graduate took on the role of production manager for electronics at KEB’s primary facility in Barntrup. As the new COO of KEB Automation, he will assume responsibility for electronics, as well as brake and clutch manufacturing. His responsibilities will also include industrial engineering, service, materials management, digitalisation, production, maintenance, and occupational safety.
Thomas Brinkmann, CEO and shareholder of the KEB Group: ‘With Gerald Müller, an exceptionally experienced colleague is taking over the management of the production division who knows the internal processes and always has an eye for potential optimisations. I look forward to continuing to work with him. I would like to express my special thanks to Ralf Lutter, who has contributed significantly to the company’s success through his decades of work and has had a lasting impact on KEB in many ways.’
