Nidec Drives will exhibit its AC and servo drive families at SPS 2026 in Nuremberg. The stand covers three groups: compact general purpose drives, servo and high performance drives, and drives built for specific applications. In addition, visitors can book a meeting with the team in advance to discuss a specific project.
The company will be in Hall 4, Stand 4-248, from 24 to 26 November 2026.

Commander S: now up to 11 kW
Commander S is the compact entry drive for induction motors. In October 2026, Nidec extended the range with a new frame size, so it now covers ratings up to 11 kW (15 hp). As a result, SPS is one of the first chances to see the larger version in person.

Commissioning relies on the free Marshal app for Android and iOS. The app connects to the drive over NFC, so users can set it up, clone parameters and read diagnostics from a smartphone. According to Nidec, basic setup comes down to four key settings.
Digitax HD for compact servo axes
For motion tasks, Nidec will show the Digitax HD servo drive. It covers 0.25 kW to 7.5 kW in 200 V and 400 V classes. Continuous current ranges from 1.5 A to 16 A, while peak current reaches 48 A. Besides full servo control, the drive can also run permanent magnet and induction motors in open loop.
Moreover, the range comes in four variants, so machine builders can match the drive to their control concept:
- M750 with Ethernet
- M751 Base
- M753 with EtherCAT
- M754 with MCi machine control
Next to it, the Unidrive M family represents the high performance end of the portfolio.
Drives built for one job
The third group targets applications where general purpose drives need a lot of extra setup. HVAC Drive H300 is aimed at heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Pump Drive F600 is designed for pumping systems, and Elevator Drive E300 for lifts and escalators.
Why it matters for engineers
For panel builders, the larger Commander S is the main news. Previously, the series stopped below 11 kW, so higher ratings meant changing to another drive family. Now, a single compact range and a single phone app can cover more of the conveyors, fans and pumps in a typical machine. Meanwhile, the four Digitax HD variants let OEMs keep the same servo hardware whether they use EtherCAT, plain Ethernet or the drive’s own motion controller.
