At the recent SPS (Smart Production Solutions) trade fair, wenglor sensoric group presented innovative solutions in the field of sensors and image processing.
The company showcased numerous new products and technological highlights. From innovative sensors to modern cloud solutions, the product range is more diverse and advanced than ever. This year, a world first was unveiled: the first Time-of-Flight sensor with blue laser light.
A particular highlight to be presented at the trade fair is the new P1PY21 series, which is the world’s first Time-of-Flight sensor series with blue laser light. Thanks to its shorter wavelength, the blue laser light does not penetrate as deeply into the object’s surface, enabling stable detection with dark, shiny, organic, or (semi)transparent materials. Equipped with proven Dynamic Sensitivity technology, the wintec with blue light combines precision and innovation, making it the ideal solution for complex automation applications.
Easy AI Model Creation with AI Lab
In the field of machine vision, wenglor introduced the new AI Lab. This high-performance platform enables efficient data management and AI model training in the cloud. Image capture and powerful AI model execution are achieved with uniVision 3 software on machine vision products. The weHub software ensures seamless communication between the AI Lab cloud platform and the uniVision 3 image processing software. In the “AI Loop” workflow, weHub handles image data uploads and AI model downloads. Users will thus benefit from an intuitive workflow for simple and fast AI modeling.
More New Products and Proven Solutions
In addition to these highlights, wenglor presented many other new products at SPS, including the new P1MW contrast sensors for detecting print marks in serial applications, IO-Link system solutions, new reflex sensors with Time-of-Flight technology for detecting objects at long distances, and much more. Visitors can also learn about and consult on proven products such as the Smart Camera B60, the MVC machine vision controller, the Red Dot Award-winning inductive ring sensors, and the P1XD fiber optic amplifiers. The P1PC series will also be presented, expanding the range of laser triangulation distance sensors as a cost-effective alternative to the high-precision P3 series.
