Siemens S7-1200 communication with Servo ctrlX DRIVE via PROFINET

This programming example shows how to configure and program a Bosch Rexroth ctrlX DRIVE servo controller with a Siemens S7-1200 controller via PROFINET communication.

The documentation describes the PLC function block FB_TIA_PN_DCP_cXD, which enables the positioning functions of the ctrlX DRIVE drive controllers to be used via PROFINET communication with Siemens CPUs.

This example describes the settings required in ctrlX DRIVE, the Siemens controller, and the TIA Portal software to be able to use the FB_TIA_PN_DCP_cXD function block. The initial configuration of ctrlX DRIVE is performed using ctrlX DRIVE Engineering.
