Renu Electronics will present its extended automation portfolio at SPS 2026 in Nuremberg. The range covers HMIs, web panels, CODESYS touch panels and compact PLCs, as well as modular I/O. In addition, the company will launch FlexiSoft 3, the new free programming software for its HMIs.

One platform from HMI to remote I/O

The aim of the booth is clear. Renu Electronics wants to offer machine builders a consistent platform for visualisation, control and distributed I/O. At the same time, it aims to reduce engineering effort. The German subsidiary, based in Filderstadt, presents the following product families:

  • FP7 series: high-performance HMI platform with extensive communication options. Selected models have a metal front.
  • FP1 series: cost-effective all-in-one device that combines HMI, PLC functions and expansion options for small and medium-sized machines.
  • WP7 series: new web panels for browser-based and centrally managed visualisation, also available with a metal front.
  • CP7 series: new CODESYS touch panels based on the FP7 platform.
  • CL100 and CL055: compact PLCs without a display.
  • FlexiIOs: modular digital and analogue I/O modules for distributed automation.

Metal front and glove operation

The FP7 and WP7 series are designed for demanding production environments. Both use projected capacitive touchscreens. As a result, operators can work reliably even while wearing gloves. For harsher conditions, selected models are also available with a robust metal front (FP7-M and WP7-M).

The WP7 web panels, in turn, follow the trend towards web-based operating concepts. Since visualisation runs in the browser, applications can be managed centrally instead of on each device.

CODESYS on CP7 panels and compact CL controllers

The new CP7 series is probably the most interesting product for PLC programmers. These touch panels run CODESYS and support application development according to IEC 61131-3. Because they are based on the proven FP7 hardware, they combine a powerful HMI platform with an open, standardised control environment.

For applications without a local display, Renu offers two compact PLCs:

Model Platform Typical use
CL100 FP7 (CODESYS) FP7 CODESYS functionality in a space-saving design without display
CL055 FL055 Cost-optimised automation tasks with little installation space

FlexiSoft 3 and E²MS services

FlexiSoft 3 is the latest generation of Renu’s HMI programming software. It is completely free of charge. Furthermore, it allows users to create visualisation and control applications within a single environment. According to the company, intuitive configuration tools and support for established automation standards shorten development times.

Besides products, Renu Electronics will also present its E²MS (Engineering & Electronics Manufacturing Services). These services cover the full product lifecycle, from concept, hardware and software design to prototyping, industrialisation and series production. The company has also obtained IATF 16949:2016 certification. Consequently, it is opening up further fields with strict regulatory requirements, including medical technology. Renu will additionally exhibit at electronica 2026 in Munich, where the focus will be on these E²MS services.

Why it matters for machine builders

Many small and medium machine builders combine HMIs, PLCs and I/O from different suppliers. This often means several engineering tools and extra integration work. With FP1, FP7, WP7, CP7, CL055, CL100 and FlexiIOs, Renu now covers the whole chain with one supplier and a free programming tool. In particular, the CP7 and CL100 add CODESYS to the portfolio, which makes it easier to reuse existing IEC 61131-3 know-how.

Renu has exhibited its HMI and PLC range at SPS before; see our report on Renu Electronics at SPS 2024. More information is available on the Renu Electronics website and in our Renu Electronics section.
