Leuze at SPS 2026: DCR 300i, MSX 610 Safety Control and Encoders

Leuze will exhibit at SPS 2026 in Nuremberg from 24 to 26 November, at stand 230 in Hall 7A. Under the theme “from sensor to integrated system”, the sensor specialist from Owen shows new components as well as complete solutions for automated and safe processes. Highlights include the DCR 300i code reader, new rotary encoders and a first look at the MSX 610 safety control.

DCR 300i: fast code reading for intralogistics

The camera-based DCR 300i reads 1D and 2D codes on containers, trays, cardboard boxes and pallets. Thanks to dual-core decoding, it keeps up even at high conveyor speeds. In addition, its compact housing fits into tightly spaced conveyor lines. Defined and guaranteed read field curves, together with the webConfig tool, make commissioning quick.

MSX 610: compact safety control for several sensors

In the safety area, visitors get an exclusive preview of the MSX 610. It is the base module of the new MSX 600 family and will be shown at SPS before its market launch. The new SafeMSX software helps users link signals from several safety sensors and build the required safety functions.

New incremental and absolute encoders

Leuze has also expanded its measuring sensor range with incremental and absolute rotary encoders. Typical uses are conveyor belts, robot axes and packaging machines. Because the shafts have double bearings, the encoders withstand high axial loads and vibration. Machine builders can therefore source more of their sensor technology from one supplier.

Automation Solutions and Safety Solutions

Where single components are not enough, the Automation Solutions division delivers customised systems. Leuze supports customers from requirements analysis and concept design through to commissioning. At the stand, examples include the scanGATE for identifying and measuring pallets and robot-assisted picking of items from a crate.

Likewise, the Safety Solutions division covers tailor-made safety concepts, from risk assessment to safety-related acceptance testing. To support these concepts, Leuze shows an expanded safety portfolio: the RSL 200, its smallest safety laser scanner, the ADR 100 safety ultrasonic sensors and the compact MSX 610.

Technical presentations at SPS 2026

Leuze experts also give four German-language talks in the SPS forum programme:

  • 24 Nov, 12:00–12:20, Hall 1: Muting in practice – when safety becomes a vulnerability (Matthias Bristle)
  • 24 Nov, 14:20–14:40, Hall 3C: Agentic AI in industrial sales (Frederick Schäfer, Mathis Stolz, David Klüners)
  • 25 Nov, 12:20–12:40, Hall 1: identCHAIN, the digital logbook for production (Ingo Baumgardt)
  • 26 Nov, 11:20–11:40, Hall 1: Reliable reading of 1D and 2D codes (Stephan Ogroske)

Why it matters for engineers

The MSX 610 is the most interesting news for machine builders. At 27.5 mm wide, it saves cabinet space, while 12 safe inputs cover several safety sensors at once. Meanwhile, the DCR 300i targets a classic intralogistics bottleneck: reading codes reliably at high conveyor speed. More details on all products are on the Leuze new products page.
