The wenglor sensoric group is enhancing its range of photoelectronic sensors with the latest generation of GM04 gloss sensors. The sensors allow for an accurate differentiation between matte and shiny surfaces.
They are appropriate for the dependable identification of clear labels or adhesive strips on packages. They also assist in consistently tracking paint and adhesive applications along with drying conditions
GM04 sensors are characterized by their universal use. The flexibly adjustable degree of gloss offers maximum flexibility in adapting to different materials. Due to their high insensitivity to vibrations or object movements, the sensors always switch reliably. Intuitive adjustment is possible via a potentiometer and the IO-Link interface offers fast data transfer. In the compact M design (57.3 × 27 × 16 mm), they ensure stable object detection in a working range of 5 to 40 mm. Thanks to IP67 protection class, they are protected against dust and water and can be used in the temperature range from –25 to +60 °C.
